Oct 27 - TED & Alexander Hamiton
We had the privilege of using a live pass for the TED Women conference that took place this week, so we took advantage of our access and watched a few talks (live!) the throughout the day.
It is so fun to see kids react to TED talks. They range from fascination, to boredom, to confusion, to amusement.
In the afternoon between TED talks, we previewed material for a study of Alexander Hamilton by exploring our prior knowledge about him and his accomplishments. We finished the day by watching the live performance of the opening song of the Hamilton musical at the White House.
Ben was inspired to share the TEDx talk he helped write in our class last year!
